Information about zeolite

  • Zeolite - a natural substance that absorbs various pollutants in water, air and surfaces:

    • fine suspended particles (up to 4µm),
    • ammonium (up to 95%, 1kg zeolite absorbs about 20g ammonium),
    • some heavy metals,
    • organic pollutants,
    • unpleasant odors,
    • prevents algae formation (by removing ammonia),
    • softens water,
    • absorbs moisture indoors (suitable for storage and refrigerators), r
    • emoves H2S, toxins, CO2, etc.

    In chlorine-based water systems, zeolite prevents the formation of the hazardous substance chloramine by absorbing ammonia, and also reduces the cost of chlorine by up to 30 percent.

    In air purification, zeolite can absorb formaldehydes, chloroform, ammonia, polar and non-polar molecules such as CO2, SO2, NO2, NO, H2S, NH3, H2O, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones and the like.
