Non-toxic, environmentally friendly, Dyofix Pond Blue dye for lakes and ponds is designed to prevent and eliminate the growth of various types of algae and aquatic weeds. Pond paint inhibits the photosynthesis process and thus slows down or completely stops the development of algae or bottom weeds. Without this excess photosynthesis, the oxygen level in the water fluctuates much less during the day - it becomes more stable, and fish no longer lack oxygen at night. 

Dyofix Pond Blue pond dye in combination with pond bacteria can help to avoid manual removal of filamentous algae.

The powder dye is packaged in 100g soluble bags and 1kg packages (10x100g bags). Dosage: 100g/1000m3, 1kg/10 000m3

The liquid blue dye is packaged in 300ml (up to 50-150m3) and 1kg (up to 5750m3) bottles

   Dyofix Pond Blue dye also reduces the need for chemicals, algaecides, herbicides which, if not used in precise doses or under strict supervision by experts, can cause an imbalance of the natural nutrients in the pond that can have a negative effect on fish, plants and other species. 

Dyofix Pond Black is a black pond dye used in smaller ponds and fountains where a dramatic affect is required.

Garden designers use black pond dye to create an obsidian black mirror reflection for a stunning garden pond design.

Information on dye safety:

• Pond dye is food grade
  
• These dyes are added in much higher doses to beverages, ice cream, canned food, confectionery, and so on. Also used in cosmetics, medical industry.
  
• The dye does not change the pH or other parameters of water
  
• The dose for a body of water is 100g / 1000m3 or only 0.0001g / liter i.e. 0.1 mg / l. This is less than is added to some soft drinks.
  
• Does not affect fish, their lifestyle, spawning.
  
• Affects only algae and weeds, but does not affect aquatic plants and photosynthesis.
  
• The disappearance of algae and weeds reduces excess oxygen consumption at night.
  

This is a much more environmentally friendly way to remove / prevent algae compared to chemical algicides and the use of lime.
