Zeolite for water treatment

  • Zeolite Zeowet is intended for the purification of various water contaminated liquids, preventing the formation of algae by absorbing ammonia, preventing the formation of toxic ammonia, nitrites and nitrates, mechanical filtration, medium for good bacteria, fertilizer for aquarium plants.

100% a natural environmentally friendly remedy that does not harm flora and fauna.

    Aquarium water purification-filtration methods

A healthy aquarium depends on maintaining clean water, and this requires some water filtration to remove contaminants and purify the water. Technically, there are three ways to filter your aquarium water:

Biofiltration refers to the process by which beneficial bacteria break down ammonia and nitrite and convert it into a nitrate compound, which is much less toxic. Oxygen-rich water is required for beneficial bacteria to thrive, as well as a surface to which the bacteria can attach, such as rocks or sand. All aquariums should include some biological filtration, and with very small fish populations, this alone may be sufficient to support the aquarium. However, in many aquariums, biological filtration will be just one method combined with others.

Chemical filtration is the process by which chemical additives remove dissolved waste from water. Activated charcoal and zeolite are the most commonly used for chemical filtration.
Mechanical filtration is what most people think of as true filtration - a device that removes particulate matter from the water by circulating water through a filtering element, the sponge.
It is important to understand that mechanical filtration alone is not sufficient as it does not remove ammonia, nitrate or nitrite in water. Mechanical filtration removes free-flowing particles, and must be cleaned or changed quite frequently before they become harmful. Mechanical filtration also aids in aerating water.

To effectively maintain the aquarium, the filter should pass all tank water through the filter at least four times per hour. When choosing a filtration system, pay attention to the type of filtration: biological, chemical or mechanical. When these methods are used simultaneously.

    Zeolite purification of aquarium water

    • Zeolite is an effective remedy for ammonium, nitrate, organics, toxic substances, water clarification, pH regulation, algae prevention after the installation of a new aquarium.

When the aquarium is installed, everything is new: fresh water, new soil, plants, fish. There is a risk that not all contaminants will be eliminated normally and that the living conditions of plants and fish will be difficult until the biosystem is functioning normally (time required).

By removing ammonia, organic matter, toxic substances, softening water, adjusting pH, Zeowet Zeowet helps to balance the aquarium's biological balance faster, improves fish survival, clarifies water, prevents algae formation, and requires less water change.

    • Highly effective remover for ammonium, nitrate, organic, toxic, pH control, algae prevention

Fish farming constantly produces a lot of fish activity products: faeces, food waste residues, contamination with ammonia, organic matter, too much plant fertilizer. Higher levels of pollutants can lead to toxic ammonium levels in water. With the increase of pollutants and sufficient light, algae growth occurs. Algae use oxygen (at night) in their feeding cycle, and in the presence of large amounts of algae at night, oxygen in the aquarium fish may be depleted. During the day, algae release carbon dioxide, raising the pH of the aquarium to 9, which leads to the conversion of ammonium into toxic ammonia.
Zeolite Zeowet is easy to use: it can be placed in a container for the aquarium filter, or if the filter only has a sponge, pour zeolite into a waterproof bag and place the aquarium next to the filter (or other place where water mixes intensively).

    Additional recommendations for algae:

    • In case of green algae (blooming water) or filamentous algae, it is recommended to further reduce the illumination of the aquarium, if possible by removing the algae mechanically by filtration and replacing part of the water.
    • Cyanobacteria (growing on leaves, rocks) is also an indicator of aquatic water contamination (mainly phosphates, organics), for which zeolite Zeowet can be used. Once the cyanobacteria has formed, try to maintain a neutral pH of 7 (cyanobacteria likes higher pH 9-10), turn off the lighting for at least three days, replace some water, reduce phosphate. They can also be killed by the antibiotic erythromycin as cyanobacteria are bacteria, photosynthesis, but this method can kill useful bacteria in the aquarium, so use caution.
    • In case of brown algae, it is necessary to increase the illumination of the aquarium, to change some water

Zeowet dose for aquarium: 400g / 100l. Wash with water before use. Change every 30-40 days or as needed.

Zeowet's larger fraction chippings can be used in aquariums as a soil primer for plants, purifies water to saturate nutrients, which the plants can then use as a fertilizer, and also serves colonies of nitrifying bacteria.

Zeolite for water purification and control of ponds

Similar problems are encountered in pond water (especially if we grow ornamental fish): ammonium contamination due to deposited organics, algae growth, and water transparency.
The problem of algae growth is particularly acute. Ponds usually lack the light needed to grow algae.
    Algae growing in ponds:

    • Threads
    • Floating
    • Blue-green

Two factors are important for algae growth: sufficient nutrients and light.

There are various chemical means to eliminate algae. They work effectively when the algae are already heavily overgrown. However, chemical measures are not used while the water in the pond is still clean, and in some cases may have a negative effect on the pond flora and fauna. In addition, when chemical agents are used, the destroyed algae sits on the bottom of the pond, becoming a nutrient for new algae, so prevention is the most effective remedy.
Zeolite Zeowet can be used as a preventive measure. It can be poured into a pond filter, or placed in a waterproof bag, placed at the bottom of the pond, in a location where water is more intense.

The usual dose is 1kg zeolite / 1m3 pond water.

It is important to keep in mind that zeolite over time saturates with ammonium, organics and needs to be replaced. Usually in the case of ponds, we change twice a year or, if the water becomes more polluted, as needed.
If starting zeolite when algae is already present, it is recommended that algae be removed if possible.
Before use, the zeolite must be flushed with water.
You can use the used zeolite for soil improvement. It is a great fertilizer containing nitrogen compounds. Zeolite also improves soil moisture by about 30 percent. - especially true on hot summer days.
The higher fraction Zeolayer Zeolayer is used as a pond soil for planting aquatic plants and serves as an excellent fertilizer containing nitrogen and trace elements.

Zeolite Zeowet for aquaculture, fish farming.

Zeolite Zeowet is used on fish farms in the same way as in aquariums or ponds. Suitable for use as a mechanical filter filler in a bioreactor, in growing ponds.

Zeolite treat water, removes toxic ammonium, prevents nitrifying bacteria from converting ammonium into toxic nitrite, is a preventive measure against algae formation.

Particularly suitable for transporting or storing fish as it absorbs toxic ammonia.

    Doses:

If there are no fish in the pond - 1 kg per 1 m3 of water

If there are fish in the pond, 2 kg per 1 m3 of water

    If carp are raised in ponds, 4kg / 1m3 water;

      Not used for phosphate removal.
